"Getting to know you" Sunday...,.

1. Thong or Granny panites?

actually I like the hi cut thigh undies....speaking of which, I need to get some new ones, I know TMI!!

2. If you see a guy with his fly down, do you tell him?

Well, umm, guess it depends on the guy....if he's a hottie, prolly not, haha! if its some old geezer, YES!!! we only want to see the cute undies!

3. Spanx or No Spanx?

I have never bought any Spanx but I have heard that they are worth the money. Sidenote: I dont wear pantyhose...I actually hate them!

4. Do you sleep in your sheets?

Funny thing abut us (me & the hubs), we don't sleep with a top sheet, we actually have our own blankets. I am a blanket hoarder by nature so sharing a sheet would never work for us.

5. What is your favorite Disney character?

Pluto for sure....he's so 'doggone' cute!!!!

6. Dream Vacation Spot?

Greek Isle of Santarini....gorgeous!

7. What is your dream job?

I would love to own my own B&B....

8. Who is your hero & why?

My spiritual hero is Jesus Christ, my human hero would be my Mamaw....she's so special, its indescribable!

oK, so as I write this my birthday is officially over BUT oh my stars did I have a terrific birthday. This one tops last year's birthday! So whats with the iPad pic? Well, the hubster TOTALLY surprised me with this gift. I had been saying in a very joking way that I wanted an iPad for my birthday. NEVER did I seriously consider that I wold get one. I absolutely love it, of course *derduhder*. Thats slang for "duh". I almost started bawling when I opened the box! I was so thrilled!
I had a fantastic day. Hubs came home from work & we all went to breakfast at the Barrel, then Bill brought up the idea of going to the Flea Mkt. and I was so like ON THAT!!I found some really good stuff (stay close for a post about that one!) Then I had to get home to prepare for the last night of VBS. I ran to Wally's World & put a picture order in. Came home, picked up the big kid & the little kid. We had a great night at VBS...more on that later too. Then O.M. gave me two sets of new dishes, which I desperately needed. We went to Logan's for dinner, YUM-O.
Once we finally made it home, I had a beautiful bouquet of flowers from my main squeeze. Then I opened my last gift from my mom. I will post about that too! I want you to wait b/c it deserves its own post! : O
I really am a spoiled rotten girl, my hubs has always went out of his way to give me what I want even though I never really ask for anything except in the case of the iPad, lOl. I am also a very blessed woman with so much to be thankful for, especially thankful for those who wished me a Happy Birthday, you all ROCK!!! *fist bump*

~ i heart this place ~

One of my most favorite places to go & visit is SaMo *thats Santa Monica* for those who don't have a clue as to why Californians call it that. I specifically LOVE!!!! Pacific Park at the Santa Monica Pier. Its like a mini-fair/carnival place that is actually built on a pier. I love the rides, I love the food, I love the nostalgia of old timey fun. This was G-man's first visit. Bill & I came here a couple of years ago by ourselves. Anyway, Grant loved it. He was super excited to ride the West Coaster....even though I believe its thee s-l-o-w-e-s-s-t roller coaster on planet Earth, coming in at a roaring 35 mph, LOL! Its fun though b/c it goes over the surrounding rides and it provides an awesome view of the ocean. The Sig Cars is where i lost my iPhone....(scream) but luckily we were only apart for less than thirty minutes. The young man operating the ride returned it to my hubby after he called it. Thats the short story of it. Anyway, I can't wait to go back.....its so awesome there!

Little Man was the ringbearer in a wedding recently! He looked so handsome! I look forward to his wedding day! He even promised me a dance......such a sweetie!

Dear Grant~

Dear Grant,
How do I even begin to tell you how much I love you & how your life in just six short years has changed me beyond my wildest dreams! Before you were even here, I dreamed of all the great things we would do together. I dreamed about being the kind of mom that God would be proud of. I dreamed of how you would be as a youngster. I dreamed of how your personality and your looks would be. I dreamed about how I wanted to be the first woman you ever loved. When I held you as a newborn, I would cry because I couldn't believe I finally had such a sweet and precious boy. It was easy for me to believe how GREAT our God really is! Now, you are six years old and still (by no fault of ours) the only one! Its okay though, I know that God ha a bigger plan for expanding our family! There are days that I am grateful I have just YOU. With your personality leaning strongly towards the "strong willed", it can be hard to like you at times. At other times, you are so funny & such a 'ham', you are fearless which is something I try to encourage with little control.
As you grow up, its my dream as your mommy that you become a man of character, a man who serves God and fears Him too, a man who keeps chivalry alive and yet knows how to be aggressive when need be. I pray often for your future, your days in school, your college years and eventually for the wife you will one day meet and continue on with your own family. I wanted you to know that because of you, I do my very best to show you and tell you that you mean the world to me. I love you Granty-delicious and your chinny-cake too!!! =D
